How to use get

  1. Present

    I usually get home around seven.

    Eu geralmente chego em casa lá pelas sete.

  2. Past

    We got to the airport just in time.

  3. Future

    We will get to the hotel before dark.

  4. Present continuous

  6. Conditional

Good to know

  • "Get to" é chegar a um lugar: "get to work"; com "home" e "here" não tem "to".
  • "Get" tem mil usos: receber ("get a letter"), ficar ("get tired"), comprar ("get some milk").
  • O particípio americano é "gotten"; "have got" é "ter": "I've got two kids".
