How to use think

One sentence for each tense, the way people say it.

  1. Present

    I think the restaurant closes at ten.

    Eu acho que o restaurante fecha às dez.

  2. Past

    We thought you were coming tomorrow.

    A gente achou que você vinha amanhã.

  3. Future

    I will think about it and call you.

    Eu vou pensar e te ligo.

  4. Present continuous

    What are you thinking about?

    No que você está pensando?

  5. Present perfect

    I have thought about moving to Miami.

  6. Conditional

    I would think twice before buying that.

Good to know

  • "I think so" é "acho que sim"; "I don't think so" é "acho que não".
  • "Think about" é pensar em alguma coisa; "think of" é lembrar ou ter uma ideia.
