  1. Present

    My son speaks three languages.

    Meu filho fala três idiomas.

  2. Past

    I spoke to the manager about the noise.

    Eu falei com o gerente sobre o barulho.

  3. Future

    The doctor will speak with you after the exam.

    O médico vai falar com você depois do exame.

  4. Present continuous

    Who is speaking? I can't see your name.

    Quem está falando? Não estou vendo seu nome.

  5. Present perfect

    I have spoken to her twice this week.

    Eu falei com ela duas vezes esta semana.

  6. Conditional

    I would speak more slowly on the phone.

    Eu falaria mais devagar no telefone.

  7. Imperative

Good to know

  • "Speak" é falar um idioma ou falar formalmente; conversar é "talk".
  • "Speak up" é falar mais alto; "speak to" ou "speak with" é falar com alguém.
