  2. Past

    ゆうべ、 ゆき が ふった。

    It snowed last night.

  3. Te-form

    そと は まだ あめ が ふって います か?

    Is it still raining outside?

  4. Potential

    こんな あつい ひ に ゆき は ふれません。

    Snow can't fall on a hot day like this.

  5. Want to

    そら が ゆき を ふりたがって いる みたい。

    The sky looks like it wants to snow.

  6. Volitional

    あめ が ふろう と、 しあい は あります。

    Even if it rains, the match is on.

  7. Conditional

    あめ が ふれば、 うち で えいが を みよう。

    If it rains, let's watch a film at home.

Good to know

  • ふる is only for things falling from the sky: あめ が ふる, ゆき が ふる. Something you drop おちる.
