One sentence for each tense, the way people say it.

  1. Present and future

    それでは、 えんりょ なく いただきます。

    Well then, I'll gladly accept.

  2. Past

    さとう さん に おいしい おちゃ を いただいた。

    Mrs. Sato gave me some delicious tea.

  3. Te-form

    おみやげ を いただいて、 ありがとう ございます。

    Thank you for the present.

  4. Potential

    もう ひとつ いただけます か?

    May I have one more?

  5. Want to

    おみず を いっぱい いただきたい の です が。

    I'd like a glass of water, please.

  6. Volitional

    じゃあ、 えんりょ なく いただこう。

    Well, let's not stand on ceremony and tuck in.

  7. Conditional

    おへんじ を いただければ、 うれしい です。

    I'd be glad if you could reply.

Good to know

  • いただきます before a meal is this verb: "I humbly receive".
