  2. Past

    ちいさい ころ、 あに が いつも ぼく を まもった。

  3. Te-form

    ルール を まもって、 たのしく あそんで ね。

    Keep to the rules and have fun.

  4. Potential

    この やくそく は ぜったい に まもれます。

    I can definitely keep this promise.

  5. Want to

    かぞく を まもりたい から、 ほけん に はいった。

    I want to protect my family, so I took out insurance.
