How to use はしる

  1. Present and future

    まいあさ かわ の そば を はしります。

    Every morning I run along the river.

  2. Past

    えき まで はしった けど、 まにあわなかった。

    I ran to the station but didn't make it.

  3. Te-form

    あの こ は いつも はしって います。

    That child is always running.

  4. Potential

    まだ ごキロ しか はしれません。

    I can only run five kilometres so far.

  5. Want to

    いつか マラソン を はしりたい。

    One day I want to run a marathon.

  6. Volitional

    おくれる! えき まで はしろう!

    We're going to be late! Let's run to the station!

  7. Conditional

    はしれば、 つぎ の でんしゃ に まにあう。

    If we run, we'll catch the next train.
