  1. Present and future

    はは は おせち に みっか かけます。

    My mother spends three days on the New Year food.

  2. Past

    この レポート に いっしゅうかん かけた。

    I spent a week on this report.

  3. Te-form

    じかん を かけて、 ゆっくり えらんで ください。

    Take your time and choose slowly.

  4. Potential

    この しごと に は いちにち しか かけられない。

    I can only spend one day on this job.

  5. Want to

    りょこう の けいかく に もっと じかん を かけたい です。

    I want to spend more time planning the trip.

  6. Volitional

    この しごと に は じゅうぶん じかん を かけよう。

    Let's give this job plenty of time.

  7. Conditional

    じかん を かければ、 じょうず に なります よ。

    If you put the time in, you'll get good at it.

  8. Commands and requests
