  1. Present and future

    しおからい もの を たべる と、 のど が かわきます。

    When you eat salty things, you get thirsty.

  2. Past

    ながい さんぽ で のど が かわきました。

    The long walk made me thirsty.

  3. Te-form

    のど が かわいて いる なら、 おちゃ が あります よ。

    If you're thirsty, there's some tea.

  4. Potential

    のど が かわいて、 もう はしれません。

    I'm so thirsty I can't run any more.

  5. Want to

    のど が かわいた。 つめたい みず が のみたい。

  • のど が かわきました, "my throat has dried", is how you say "I'm thirsty".
