  1. Present and future

    さとう さん は よく やさい を くれます。

    Mrs. Sato often gives me vegetables.

  2. Past

    ベン が カナダ の おみやげ を くれた。

    Ben gave me a souvenir from Canada.

  3. Te-form

    ゆい は いつも てつだって くれます。

    Yui always helps me out.

  4. Potential

    そんな に くれられて も、 こまります。

    I don't know what to do with so much from you.

  5. Want to

    だれ か くれたい ひと、 いません か?

    Isn't there anyone who wants to give me one?

  6. Volitional

    だれ が なに を くれよう と、 うれしい。

    Whoever gives me whatever, I'm happy.

  7. Conditional

    ひとつ くれれば、 じゅうぶん です。

    If you give me one, that's plenty.

  8. Commands and requests

Good to know

  • くれる is giving towards you: ともだち が くれた, "a friend gave it to me"; て くれる is someone kindly doing something for you.
