How to use くさる

  1. Present and future

    なつ は たべもの が すぐ くさります。

    In summer food goes off quickly.

  2. Past

    ふくろ の なか の バナナ が くさった。

    The bananas in the bag went off.

  3. Te-form

    この さかな、 くさって いる と おもう。

    I think this fish has gone off.

  4. Potential

    くさる まえ に、 ぜんぶ たべきれません。

    I can't eat it all before it goes off.

  5. Want to

    やさい を くさらせたくない から、 すぐ つかいます。

    I don't want the vegetables to go off, so I use them right away.

  6. Volitional

    くさる まえ に、 りんご で ジャム を つくろう。

    Before they go off, let's make jam with the apples.

  7. Conditional

Good to know
