    Elle ratait tous ses gâteaux au début.

    She messed up all her cakes at first.

  4. Future

    Si tu traînes, tu rateras ton train.

    If you dawdle, you'll miss your train.

  5. Conditional

    Je raterais mon avion sans ton réveil.

    I'd miss my plane without your alarm.

  6. Present subjunctive

    J'ai peur qu'on rate la correspondance à Lyon.

    I'm afraid we'll miss the connection in Lyon.

  7. Imperative

    Ne rate pas ce concert, il est exceptionnel.
