    We put the rubbish out on Tuesdays.

  2. Past

    きのう、 カナダ に てがみ を だした。

    Yesterday I sent a letter to Canada.

  3. Te-form

    パスポート を だして ください。

    Please take out your passport.

  4. Potential

    しゅくだい は あした だせます か?

    Can I hand in the homework tomorrow?

  5. Want to

    この はがき を きょう じゅう に だしたい。

    I want to send this postcard today.

  6. Volitional

    さむい から、 ストーブ を だそう。

    It's cold, let's get the heater out.

  7. Conditional

    あさ だせば、 あさって つきます。

    If you send it in the morning, it arrives the day after tomorrow.

    もっと おおきな こえ を だしなさい。

Good to know

  • だす is also to send a letter, hand in homework, and take out your wallet: てがみ を だす, しゅくだい を だす.
