    The guitar's out of tune, the strings need tightening.

  2. Past

    Сосед строил баню три лета подряд.

    The neighbour was building a banya three summers running.

  3. Future

    После настройки рояль будет строить ещё год.

    After tuning the piano will stay in tune another year.

  4. Conditional

    Я бы строила дом подальше от дороги.

    I'd build the house further from the road.

  5. Imperative

    Не строй планы на субботу, будут гости.

    Don't make plans for Saturday, we're having guests.

Good to know

  • Строить is to build: строить дом, строить планы; построить is once. Of an instrument, рояль не строит means it's out of tune.
  • Строить из себя is to make yourself out to be something: не строй из себя героя.
