  3. Imperfect

    A mi abuelo le importaba mucho la familia.

    Family mattered a lot to my grandfather.

  4. Future

    En unos años, eso ya no importará.

    In a few years, that won't matter anymore.

  5. Conditional

    ¿Te importaría cerrar la ventana, por favor?

    Would you mind closing the window, please?

  6. Present subjunctive

    Haz lo que te guste, aunque no importe el dinero.

    Do what you love, even if the money doesn't matter.

  7. Past subjunctive

    Me dolió que no le importara mi opinión.

    It hurt me that my opinion didn't matter to him.

  8. Imperative

    Importen los contactos del celular viejo primero.

    Import the contacts from the old phone first.

Good to know

  • No importa is "it doesn't matter"; ¿te importa si...? is "do you mind if...?".
  • Importar also means to import: importar un archivo.
