PART 1 · LESSON 4 OF 30 · 30 MINUTES
Breakfast in German
Breakfast at the guesthouse is in German, and Frau Weber won't pour Max's coffee until he asks for it properly. Say good morning, ask for coffee or tea, with milk and without sugar, say what you'd like and ask what someone would like, politely, order an egg soft or hard and a Berlin bread roll with butter and jam, say yes please, and say it's delicious.

THE STORY
It's half past seven on Thursday morning, and breakfast at the guesthouse is in German. Lukas has fetched the bread rolls from the bakery across the street, Frau Weber is waiting with the coffee pot, and Max hasn't had much sleep. At the next table, the couple from the hall on the first evening say hello in a way Max has never heard. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
