Where Are You From?

At the desk of the hotel, Julien asks Emma where she's from and whether she speaks French, and one of his questions is much too fast for her. Then he sets a rule for her stay. Say where you're from, say you speak a little, and ask someone to slow down when you don't understand.

LA HISTORIA

Emma is inside the Hotel du Canal, at the desk, and Julien is checking her in. He wants to know more about his new guest. Then he asks a question that is much too fast for her, and Emma uses the most useful sentences a beginner can know. When she asks if he speaks English, Julien tells her his rule. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
