  2. Passé

    J'ai entendu la porte claquer vers minuit.

    I heard the door slam around midnight.

  3. Imparfait

    On entendait la mer depuis la chambre.

    You could hear the sea from the room.

  4. Futur

    Vous entendrez les cloches à midi.

    You'll hear the bells at noon.

  5. Conditionnel

    On entendrait mieux si tu baissais la télé.

    We'd hear better if you turned the TV down.

  6. Subjonctif présent

    Parle plus fort pour que ta grand-mère entende.

  7. Impératif

  • Entendre is to hear; écouter is to listen. Entendre parler de is to hear about.
