🇮🇹 Italian · Beginner Level 1

PART 1 · LESSON 7 OF 30 · 30 MINUTES

Spaghetti Bolognese?

On Saturday there's no class, and Laura, Chiara and Matteo go out for lunch at a trattoria. Laura orders the one Italian dish everyone in Boston knows, and the waiter can't believe his ears. Say you're hungry or thirsty, ask what someone is having, the friendly way and the polite way, order food and drink, make a toast, and ask for the bill.

THE STORY

It's Saturday, and there's no class. At one o'clock, Laura, Chiara and Matteo sit down at a trattoria in a side street. Laura orders the dish everyone in Boston knows, and the waiter can't believe his ears. An hour later, the bill comes, and there's an argument about who pays. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
