  • "Settle in" é se acomodar num lugar novo; "settle down" é sossegar ou criar raízes.
  • "Settle" também é resolver uma briga ou uma conta: "settle the bill", "settle an argument".
  • "Settle for" é se contentar com: "don't settle for less".
