    بَجُوع بِسُرْعَة لَمَّا بَصْحَى بَدْرِي.

    I get hungry fast when I wake up early.

  2. Past

    جُعْنَا فِي الطَّرِيق وِوَقَفْنَا نَاكُل.

    We got hungry on the way and stopped to eat.

  3. Future

    الوِلاَد هَيْجُوعُوا قَبْل الغَدَا.

    The kids will get hungry before lunch.

  4. After want, must and can

    خُد سَانْدَوِتْش عَشَان مَتْجُوعْش.

    Take a sandwich so you don't get hungry.

Good to know

  • For "I'm hungry" Egyptians say أَنَا جَعَان (a woman: جَعَانَة), not the verb.
