    I consent to everything, except the karaoke.

  2. Past

    Ses parents ont consenti au mariage sans discuter.

    Her parents consented to the wedding without arguing.

  3. Imperfect

    Il consentait rarement à prêter sa voiture.

    He rarely agreed to lend his car.

  4. Future

    La banque consentira peut-être un petit prêt.

    The bank may grant a small loan.

  5. Conditional

    Je consentirais à vendre, mais pas à ce prix.

    I'd agree to sell, but not at that price.

  6. Present subjunctive

    Il faudrait que le propriétaire consente aux travaux.

    The owner would have to consent to the works.

  7. Imperative

    Consentez, et signez ici, s'il vous plaît.

    Give your consent, and sign here, please.

Good to know

  • Consentir à quelque chose; it is the verb of the wedding ceremony : Consentez-vous à prendre pour épouse… ?
  • Qui ne dit mot consent : silence means consent.
