How to use подтверждать

  1. Present

    Эта справка подтверждает место жительства.

    This certificate confirms the place of residence.

  2. Past

    Гостиница каждый раз подтверждала бронь по почте.

    The hotel confirmed the booking by email every time.

  3. Future

    Банк будет подтверждать каждый перевод по телефону.

    The bank will confirm every transfer by phone.

  4. Conditional

    Я бы не подтверждал заказ без цены.

    I wouldn't confirm an order without a price.

  5. Imperative

    Подтверждай встречи заранее, так надёжнее.

    Confirm meetings in advance, it's more reliable that way.

Good to know

  • Подтверждать бронь, заказ, адрес is to confirm them; подтвердить is once. A документ, подтверждающий адрес is a proof of address.
