  1. Present

    ห้องน้ำ อยู่ ไหน ครับ?

    Where is the bathroom?

  2. Past

    ตี๋ ไม่ ได้ อยู่ บ้าน ค่ะ.

    Tee wasn't at home.

  3. Future

    ผม จะ อยู่ ที่นี่ หก เดือน ครับ.

    I'll stay here six months.

  4. Ever and never

    เคย อยู่ ซีแอตเทิล ไหม คะ?

    Have you ever lived in Seattle?

  5. Want, must and can

    อยู่ ต่อ อีก ปี ได้ ไหม ครับ?

    Can I stay another year?

  6. Requests

    อยู่ ต่อ อีก หน่อย นะ คะ.

    Stay a little longer.

Good to know

  • อยู่ answers "where": ห้องน้ำ อยู่ ไหน, "where is the bathroom"; it is also the little word at the end of กำลัง … อยู่.
