  1. Present

    بَاخُد المِتْرُو لِلشُّغْل كُلّ يُوم.

    I take the metro to work every day.

  2. Past

    خَدْنَا تَاكْسِي مِن وِسْط البَلَد لِلْبِيت.

    We took a taxi from Downtown to the house.

  3. Future

    هَتَاخُد شَاي وَلَّا قَهْوَة?

    Will you have tea or coffee?

  4. After want, must and can

    مُمْكِن آخُد الكُرْسِي دَه?

    Can I take this chair?

  5. Commands

    خُد الجَاكِتَّة, الدُّنْيَا بَرْد.

    Take the jacket, it's cold.

  • خُد! on its own is "here, take it", said as you hand something over.
