How to use もうしつたえる

One sentence for each tense, the way people say it.

  1. Present and future

    たなか に は、 わたし から もうしつたえます。

    I'll pass it on to Tanaka myself.

  2. Past

    ごようけん は、 ぶちょう に もうしつたえました。

    I passed your message on to the department head.

  3. Te-form

    では、 きむら に そう もうしつたえて おきます。

    Then I'll make sure Kimura gets that message.

  4. Potential

    ほんにん が もどりしだい、 すぐ に もうしつたえられます。

    I can pass it on as soon as he's back.

  5. Want to

    しゃちょう に も、 その けん を もうしつたえたい の です が。

    I'd like to pass that on to the president too, if I may.

  6. Volitional

    では、 わたくし から たんとうしゃ に もうしつたえましょう。

  • もうしつたえる is つたえる said humbly, when you promise to give a message to someone on your side: たんとうしゃ に もうしつたえます.
  • It belongs to the phone and the front desk; among family and friends, つたえて おく.
