    かって いた きんぎょ が しんだ。

    The goldfish I kept died.

  3. Te-form

    この き は もう しんで います。

    This tree is already dead.

  4. Potential

    こんな ところ で しねません。

    I can't die in a place like this.

  5. Want to

    はずかしくて、 しにたい くらい だった。

    I was so embarrassed I wanted to die.

  6. Volitional

    しぬ まえ に、 せかい じゅう を りょこう しよう。

    Before we die, let's travel the whole world.

  7. Conditional

Good to know

  • しぬ is the only verb that ends in ぬ.
  • About a person you respect, say なくなる instead: そふ が なくなりました.
  • Nobody plans to die, so the volitional and imperative sentences show しぬ beside another verb.
