The First Night
It's Thursday night, the seventeenth of July, and Ben's first night in his own flat. It's nearly empty and very quiet, so he calls Yui in Kyoto on video, and then Mrs. Sato rings from the inn. He is sitting by the window with the light off, looking at Tokyo lit up outside. It's very quiet, so he calls Yui in Kyoto, on video.
