Leçons 1 à 10A week after the fireworks, Ben and Yui talk plainly at home, but at the Hanaya Ben still talks to Kenta politely, after two years.
On Sunday, Kenta's day off, Ben goes to watch Kenta's futsal team, and ends up playing.
On Monday, Mike asks Ben about his weekend, politely, because Ben is his senior, and Ben answers in plain Japanese, with a sore leg from futsal.
Yui's brother Sota comes to Tokyo for a university open day, and comes back starving and not saying much.
Sota's last day in Tokyo.
Yui comes home on Saturday morning after a night shift at the hospital, sleeps until two, and has to go back that evening.
Mrs. Tanaka has put Ben and Yui on the red team for the neighbourhood sports day.
Mrs. Sato turns seventy-five next Friday, and Kenta wants a surprise party at the Hanaya.
Kenta talks Ben and Yui into climbing Mount Takao, west of Tokyo, as the leaves turn red.
Ben, Kenta and Mike go to Shibuya on Halloween night, in costumes, into the biggest crowd in Tokyo.

Mrs. Sato has to stay in hospital for two weeks, and Kenta asks Ben and Yui to help at the Hanaya at weekends.
Ben's first afternoon on the front desk of the Hanaya, and a guest from Taiwan who reads every kanji but finds speaking hard, the opposite of Ben.
Ben and Kenta make a short sign for the Hanaya after several guests misunderstand the rules.
On Sunday night, Ben handles a cold room, noisy neighbours and a disappointing view with formal apologies and practical help.

Leçons 21 à 30On January 12, Ben confides his spring proposal idea to Kenta, who agrees to look at rings with him.
Ben and Kenta choose an engagement ring in Ginza, arrange payment and collect it two weeks later.
After collecting the ring, Ben phones Sota for help with Yui's size.
Ben calls Yui's father for family support before proposing.
A week before the proposed breakfast, Ben, Kenta and Mrs. Sato settle the room, invitation, flowers and signal.
At the Hanaya on March twenty-seventh, Ben asks Yui to marry him and she says yes.
The morning after the proposal, Ben and Yui tell their families by video call, Kyoto first and then Toronto, where it's still Saturday evening.
On Friday after futsal, Ben tells his friends at the izakaya, and on Monday his colleagues at school and Missus Tanaka.
Ben and Yui start planning the wedding, at home, with a notebook and Maple.
Five days after Yui books the shrine, everyone gathers in Ueno park under the last of the cherry blossoms to toast the engagement, a year after Ben's flower-viewing there with his parents.
