PARTIE 3 · LEÇON 30 SUR 30 · 40 MINUTES
Cherry Blossoms Again
Five days after Yui books the shrine, everyone gathers in Ueno park under the last of the cherry blossoms to toast the engagement, a year after Ben's flower-viewing there with his parents. Look back on the year in plain Japanese, say husband and wife, talk about what's coming next, and review the plain forms of the whole level.

L’HISTOIRE
Saturday April seventeenth, twenty twenty-seven, in Ueno park. Most of the cherry trees are green now, but the late ones, with their heavy double blossoms, are still in flower, and their petals are coming down. A year ago, Ben was here with his parents, translating everything into very polite Japanese. Today Kenta has saved a spot near the old one. Missus Sato has brought her walking stick, but hardly uses it. Sota has been in Tokyo since his university started, and next week he gets a room of his own. Mike has brought a cake. Everyone is here to toast Ben and Yui. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
