L’HISTOIRE
Monday, the eighteenth of August. The Obon holiday is over, and Tokyo is back at work. Ben usually goes in later, on a quiet train, but today he has an early class. At eight in the morning the platform is a sea of white shirts, and Ms. Aoki, who changes trains here every morning, is there too. A train pulls in. It's full. That evening, Ben stops at the ticket window. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
