The Contract
On Wednesday, the ninth of July, Ben signs the contract for his flat and learns about a very Japanese custom, key money. That evening he brings the news back to the Hanaya. It is Wednesday, the ninth of July. Ben has chosen the new flat, five minutes from the station. Back at the estate agent's, a thick contract is waiting on the desk, full of kanji, and there's a payment Ben has never heard of. That evening, Kenta and Mrs. Sato are waiting at the Hanaya for the news. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
