Dinner at the Inn
The same Sunday evening, both families have dinner at an old inn with a hot spring, north of Kyoto, and Ben kneels the formal way until his legs go numb. Say your legs have gone numb, invite someone to sit comfortably, tell grilled from raw, say what you're good and not good at, find your way round a hot spring bath, and settle into a room with futons.

ストーリー
Sunday evening, April fifth. Mister Yamamoto has booked dinner for both families at an old inn with a hot spring, in the hills north of Kyoto, and a room for the night for Ben and his parents. The attendant brings course after course on small plates. Ben's parents sit comfortably, but Ben kneels the formal way, to be polite. By the third course, he can't feel his legs. After dinner, the men try the hot spring, and Ben's father has a question about clothes. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
