PART 2 · LESSON 16 OF 30 · 33 MINUTES
Testaccio Market
It's Tuesday morning in Rome, and Aunt Rosa takes Laura to the market in Testaccio, with her shopping trolley. Broad beans, artichokes and pecorino, a seller who talks fast, an aunt who haggles, and at last, the answer to the question Laura asked on Sunday. Ask for half a kilo or three hundred grams, ask if something is fresh, say you'll take it, ask how much it all comes to, count from seventy to a hundred, and say you'll pay.
