    I get off at the next stop.

  2. Past

    まちがえて ひとつ まえ の えき で おりました。

    By mistake I got off one station early.

  3. Te-form

    エレベーター で いっかい に おりて ください。

    Please go down to the first floor by elevator.

  4. Potential

    でんしゃ が こんで いて、 おりられませんでした。

    The train was so crowded I couldn't get off.

  5. Want to

    つぎ の バスてい で おりたい です。

    I want to get off at the next bus stop.

  6. Volitional

    けしき が いい から、 ここ で おりよう。

Good to know

  • Get off a train with を: でんしゃ を おります. おりる is also to go down: かいだん を おります.
  • おりられます in the passive sentence is the polite (honorific) use of that form.
