PARTE 2 · AULA 11 DE 30 · 40 MINUTOS

For Sale, Two Bedrooms, a View of Sugarloaf

Part Two begins. Back in Rio, Daniel and Bia go looking for a flat to buy, read the signs on the buildings in Botafogo, and call about an ad on a Sunday morning. Read and say the signs Brazilians put up, "for sale", "to let", "help wanted", say what you're looking for, call about an ad and ask to see the flat, and make a list of what a home can't be without.

A HISTÓRIA

Sunday the twenty-first of January, in Botafogo, a neighbourhood between the beach and the hills, with old houses, new buildings, and a view of Sugarloaf Mountain from some of its windows. Daniel and Bia have been back from Chicago for two weeks. They're walking up and down the streets, slowly, reading every sign on every building, until one of them has a phone number on it. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
