  2. Past

    あめ の なか で にじゅっぷん まちました。

    I waited twenty minutes in the rain.

  3. Te-form

    すみません、 ここ で すこし まって ください。

    Excuse me, please wait here a moment.

  4. Potential

    ごじ まで なら まてます。

    I can wait until five.

  5. Want to

    けっか を まちたく ありません。

    I don't want to wait for the results.

  6. Volitional

    みせ が あく まで、 ここ で まとう。
