    おふろ に おゆ を ためた よ。

    I've filled the bath with hot water.

  3. Te-form

    ベン は りょこう の ため に おかね を ためて いる。

    Ben is saving money for a trip.

  4. Potential

    やちん が たかくて、 なかなか ためられません。

    The rent is high and I can hardly save anything.

  5. Want to

    らいねん まで に ごじゅうまんえん ためたい。

    I want to save five hundred thousand yen by next year.

  6. Volitional

    まいにち せんえん ずつ ためよう か。

    Shall we put by a thousand yen a day?

  7. Conditional

    みず を ためれば、 ていでん の とき も あんしん だ。

    If you keep water stored, you're fine in a power cut too.
