Can I Speak to Marcos?
Paula is at lunch, Marcos is in a meeting, and the phone on Marcos's desk is ringing. Daniel answers it, in Portuguese. Ask to speak to someone, say that they're not there or in a meeting, take a message, give an extension, and ask the caller to speak louder or to spell a name. And find out what happens when the line is bad.

LA HISTORIA
It's Tuesday, half past twelve, on the ninth floor. Paula is at lunch, Marcos is in a meeting, and the phone on Marcos's desk is ringing. Daniel looks around. There is nobody else. He picks it up. At three, Marcos comes out of his meeting and calls the number Daniel wrote down, and the line was worse than Daniel thought. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
