On Sunday morning Daniel and Bia tell his parents in Chicago about the farm, on a video call. LA HISTORIA
Sunday, December fifth, ten in the morning in Rio, seven in Chicago. On the laptop screen, Daniel's parents, Susan and Tom, are sitting very close together in their kitchen, with coffee. Susan has been taking Portuguese lessons for six months, and she has prepared two sentences. Tom speaks English, so Daniel translates, in his own way. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
