LA HISTORIA
Sunday, December twenty-fourth, five in the afternoon, and it's already dark. Susan and Tom's house smells of turkey. There are boots by the front door, a tree in the corner, and five red stockings hanging over the fireplace, one with Bia's name on it, in glitter. Daniel's sister Emily has just arrived. At six they sit down to dinner, and Bia's farofa is on the table. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
