PART 2 · LESSON 14 OF 30 · 30 MINUTES
Frost
It's Tuesday night, and frost is coming. The whole house pulls black netting over the tea bushes by torchlight, a car comes up from the city at eleven, and at three in the morning, on a terrace wall, Owen and Master Chen's granddaughter have their first real talk. At dawn, the top terrace is brown. Say it's windy, ask if someone is cold, ask for help and say let's do it together, say someone came too, ask why and answer because, say you don't do something any more, give a temperature below zero, say half of it is ruined, ask what to do, and say there's nothing to be done.
