PART 3 · LESSON 26 OF 30 · 40 MINUTES
A Bad Line
On Wednesday evening Yui calls from Kyoto with news about Saturday, but the line is bad. An hour later she calls back, and then Ben calls Riku, who has news of his own. Answer the phone, say you can't hear, ask someone to speak up, say when your birthday is, say you'll call back or ask for a message, and ask if something is really true.

THE STORY
It's Wednesday evening in Kamakura. Ben is walking back from the beach along a narrow valley between green hills when his phone rings. It's Yui, calling from Kyoto with news about Saturday. But between the hills, the signal comes and goes. An hour later she calls back, and then Ben calls Riku, who has news of his own. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
