ปัจจุบัน · now and habits: the bare verb, ไม่ in front for not, ไหม at the end to ask

Want, must and can

อยาก ต้อง ได้ · อยาก and ต้อง in front of the verb, ได้ after it

How to use รู้

One sentence for each tense, the way people say it.

  1. Present

    ผม ไม่ รู้ ครับ, ถาม ตี๋ ดู.

    I don't know. Try asking Tee.

  2. Past

    ยัง ไม่ รู้ เลย ค่ะ ว่า จะ ไป ไหน.

    I don't know yet where we're going.

  3. Future

    พรุ่งนี้ ก็ จะ รู้ ครับ.

    We'll know tomorrow.

  4. Ever and never

    ไม่ เคย รู้ มา ก่อน เลย ค่ะ.

    I never knew that.

  5. Want, must and can

    อยาก รู้ ว่า เรือ ลำ นี้ อายุ เท่าไหร่ ครับ.

    I'd like to know how old this boat is.

Good to know

  • รู้ ว่า is "know that"; for a person or a place it's รู้จัก: รู้จัก น้ำ ไหม, รู้จัก สยาม ไหม.
