Skiing
The day after the snow festival, Ben and Yui go skiing in the mountains outside Sapporo. Ben skied as a child in Canada, but it's been a long time; Yui has never skied. Rent skis and boots, say what you did as a child, say something is scary, give advice with "you'd better" (-ta hō ga ii), fall over and get up again, follow a ski lesson, and soak in a hot spring before flying home.

Sunday February eighth, 2026, the day after the snow festival. Ben and Yui leave their luggage at the hotel and take a bus to a ski slope in the mountains outside Sapporo. Ben skied as a child in Canada, but it's been a long time. Yui has never skied. In the evening, they fly home.
