Mount Takao
Kenta talks Ben and Yui into climbing Mount Takao, west of Tokyo, as the leaves turn red. Learn to wonder out loud with kana, and to say "probably" plainly with darō, softly with deshō and with tabun. Ask how much further, say your legs won't move, wonder if you'll see Mount Fuji, and say "told you so".

A HISTÓRIA
Kenta phones on Thursday night with a plan for Sunday, Mount Takao, an hour from Shinjuku by train. He says the path is easy. It isn't, for Ben. Yui walks up as if it were nothing, Kenta promises a view of Mount Fuji if the sky stays clear, and there are monkeys halfway up. On the train home, Kenta already has the next mountain in mind. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
