Ben and Kenta make a short sign for the Hanaya after several guests misunderstand the rules. Explain a purpose with "so that", make polite requests to guests, and joke with a friend. Their plan grows too long, a guest offers help, and the following weekend they find out whether the sign works.

A HISTÓRIA
Sunday, November eighth. After visiting Mrs. Sato in hospital, Ben and Kenta return to the Hanaya. This week's guests have walked over tatami in boots, sung until two in the morning and used soap in the bath. Ben proposes an English sign. Miss Lin is still staying, and Kenta has not forgotten his offer to teach Ben kanji. On Saturday the fourteenth, a new guest stops at the sign.
