THE STORY

Sábado, dia 174, ao meio-dia, no segundo andar da biblioteca, quando a oficina de consertos acaba. Maya grava, e Sam conta a história que prometeu. Ele cresceu do outro lado de Chicago. Quatro anos atrás, ia estudar numa faculdade no Colorado e já tinha escolhido qual. Antes, ia trabalhar durante o verão, num quarto sobrando de um amigo, aqui no bairro. Naquele verão, ele vinha à biblioteca quase todo dia, e Emma, na recepção, logo sabia o nome dele. Ele ia embora em agosto, mas acabou ficando, e acabou estudando em Chicago, à noite.
