Saturday the thirty-first of March, moving day, outside the building in Botafogo. A removal van is parked half on the pavement, with its back doors open. There are thirty-two boxes on the pavement, a bed, a fridge, and the new sofa Daniel and Bia bought on Wednesday. Carla and Rafael have come to help, in old T-shirts. Raimundo, the doorman, is holding the lift door open with his foot. And one floor below the new flat, Pipoca is spending the day with Dona Marta, who has never had a dog.
