L’HISTOIRE
It's Tuesday the twenty-third of September, eleven in the morning. The school's secretary is off sick, Nathalie is in a meeting upstairs until noon, and she has asked Emma, who doesn't teach on Tuesdays, to watch the front desk for an hour. Emma hopes the phone won't ring. It rings. On the other end is a businessman who speaks fast, formal French, and he wants the director. At noon, Emma has a message to pass on. This is the conversation you'll be able to say by the end of the lesson.
